Centre for PET Arrangements
PET services are only accepted within approved indications as defined by the Commonwealth Department of Health. These require that any referral must be from a qualified specialist.

Hours of Operation: |
The Centre for PET is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Due to the distinct nature of this specialty, no on-call service can be offered.

Referrals: |
All referrals should be faxed to the Secretary, Centre for PET, who will arrange the appointment and subsequently confirm this with the patient. Any query regarding PET scans should be directed to Prof Andrew Scott, Dr Sam Berlangieri or Prof Christopher Rowe. |
Which Campus? |
PET scans are only performed at Austin Campus. |
Previous studies: |
We request that copies of previous PET scans and all Radiology studies are brought to the patients appointment for comparison. |
Reports: |
Provisional reports may be given by the Nuclear Medicine Registrar but in all cases, final reports are overseen by the Senior Physician on duty. |
